The Bible is the Word of God and reveals God’s will. In the first chapter of the first book, we already read that God created man and woman, male and female, and He made them sexual beings. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis1:27, 28).

This scripture also indicates a foundational purpose for God’s creation of man’s sexuality and woman’s sexuality. It is for the propagation of the human family. We do understand, however, that Almighty God designed human sexuality for more than just procreation; else our sexuality would be controlled by instinct. God designed sexuality to be a close, intimate oneness shared only within the bond of marriage, and He uses the term one flesh to describe it. And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder (Matthew 19:4-6).
